British Women says NO to Marriage

Well, ok….they didn’t say no exactly but 30% of British women surveyed recently don’t think that marriage is out of date and no longer necessary. Hmmm….
ALMOST a third of British women believe marriage is no longer necessary, a survey revealed yesterday.
Research into women’s changing attitudes to relationships and their work and family lives found that 30 per cent believe it is no longer relevant today.
And almost three-quarters (71 per cent) think most couples marry without thinking it through properly.
Psychologist Dr Linda Papadopoulos said: “This shift in attitude may be a testament to the fact that women feel liberated enough, sexually and socially, to not have to walk down the aisle. Or it could be that today’s cynical attitude to almost everything has minimised the marriage to an outdated, over-romanticised practice.”
