Destination Weddings = Double Delight

by Shai Coggins on April 26th, 2005

One great thing about destination weddings is that it doubles up as a holiday. Not just for the bride and groom, but for the guests as well.

Traci Carl (AP Writer) has these tips on destination weddings over at TheNewsTribune.com:

1) Try to fill the hotel. Apparently, you can get better rates if you have most of your wedding party in the hotel.

2) Check local marriage laws. Not all marriage laws are the same. Make sure you know the right things to do or else you might end up not married properly — or worse.

3) Consider alternatives to the beach. Although the beach may be a popular destination wedding, places like haciendas, historical spots or gardens may also be considered.
