Featured Wedding Blog: I Groomzilla, you Bride

I was trolling the web for blog inspiration when I found this adorable and humorous blog about an engaged guy sharing details about his and his beloved’s wedding preparations through a wedding blog!
Quite unusual eh? Usually it’s the women who are into these sorts of things, nitpicking every little detail about the wedding but quite amazing to see that guys take interest too.
Give Groomzilla a round of applause!
Here’s an excerpt of one of his entries:
I have to say, the idea of being the center of attention and having the ability to do whatever I want during that time, truly elates the ‘ham’ in me. That being said, the ‘first dance’ seems like the perfect opportunity for this peacock to show off his feathers. So I was thinking about the different ways to strut my stuff and decided to consult with my best friend, YouTube, and came up with some options :
1. The old “What just happened to our music ?”
This is when the bride and groom start off a ‘normal’ first dance and then are hit with a music ‘malfunction’, followed by the sudden display of coordinated dance movements. The real key to pulling this one off is to look genuinely surprised. Perhaps one could throw something at the DJ as a sign of ‘faux’ disappointment.

I know that video and the routine. It’s great, and hardly over done. And, the routine can be featured again and again at different weddings as long as the choreographed followup dance is fresh and unique.

I’m attracted to comment about how much fun that choreographed first dance can be. As stated elsewhere, this one isn’t overplayed, and remains fresh and unique when the dance routine itself is unique.
