Sham proposed to me on Valentine’s Day of 1998. He told me he had a surprise for me. He took me in his car and blind folded me. The car finally came to a stop. Sham told me to wait in the car and don’t peek. I waited nervously. After a couple of minutes he opened the car door and took me by the hand blind folded. When we reached our destination he took of the blind fold. We were at a dock side where we could see all of down town lit up like a Christmas tree over the lake. A full moon lit the sky with a thousand stars out. There in front of me, were 50 boquets of red roses and a little teddy bear. On the floor was a big heart with the words “I love you” in the middle made out of roses. Sham then took me by the hand and started singing “sweet lady” by Tyrese. At the end of the song he asked me to marry him. I said yes.
On our 10 year anniversary he proposed again. Sham took me out by the same dock that he took me to when he first proposed to me. It was daytime but the 50 bouquets of red roses were their again but this time they had “I love you” written in gold on each one of their leaves. He had a radio and played the song “all my life” by Kc and Jojo. Sham grabbed me in his arms and started slow dancing with me. He then told me how much he loved me and took me by the lake to look at the sky. Their was a plain in the sky and it wrote a message. Will you marry me again. I said yes! He wants to give me a church ceremony that we never got to have the first time around. 200 guest will be attending. We orginaly got married in a court house and since our family did not approve of us only four people attended. It will be the wedding of our dreams. We our getting re-married to one another in June 15, 2008. Who ever said true love does not exist was wrong. Sham and I live everyday feeling love, giving love and being love.
