It seems that Hollywood is raining with babies and weddings! Another celebrity bites the dust, err gets married! :-)
Now, it’s Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds’ turn!
Reps from both Johansson and Reynolds have stated to E! and People that the couple is now engaged. E! Online has confirmed that the couple’s been engaged for a while without much media knowledge—a source close to Johansson said they “want to keep things private.” No further details about the wedding have been provided.
EFluxMedia has reported that Johansson was seen earlier this year in a wedding dress store, but she denied the engagement rumors. Now that the public knows, Johansson is predicted to show her ring at the Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala in New York, where she will attend with her new fiancé.
The couple supposedly started dating in spring of ’07, after Johansson split up with Josh Hartnett at the end of 2006 and Reynolds broke off his four-year engagement with Canadian singer Alanis Morissette.
Reynolds’s current project is filming The Proposal, with Sandra Bullock, whereas Johansson could be seen next in Woody Allen’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
