Wedding Themes: Philippines
Ayn Veronica L. De Jesus shares different wedding and reception themes on an ABS-CBN news article, 5 Weddings, One Venue and writes:
With June coming up, brides are surely looking for venues to hold weddings and receptions.
But putting together a wedding is not as simple as it used to be. The once-private ceremony has transformed into a colossal production. Family members can no longer organize the occasion on their own. The bride must hire a wedding planner who takes care of the big and small of itÂthemes, backdrop, program, souvenirs, food, church, priest, bridal gown. Each bride wants her wedding to be like no other.
At the Meralco Management Leadership and Development Center Foundation, Inc., that can be partly possible, as the center opens itself to hosting weddings with five unique concepts.
She goes on to write about five wedding concepts that offer indoor and outdoor wedding themes/ideas as follows:
1) Classic Elegance, is the most popular wedding theme. It’s apparently “for the bride who wants the familiar feel of a formal wedding.”
2) The Oriental Fusion combines different wedding themes from various Asian countries such as China, Japan and Korea.
3) The Tropical Garden wedding theme is nature-inspired and held by a poolside.
4) The Heritage is a wedding theme that incorporates the traditional Filipino-Spanish culture, as the Philippines attribute some of its cultural roots from its 300-year colonisers (late 1500s - 1800s), the Spaniards.
5) The Paradise Garden wedding theme is a fairytale-like wedding where the couple can get married in a gazebo.
Mmmm… Makes me want to get married all over again!
